Story
Hi there!
I am fundraising for Miraa House as it holds a special place in my heart. I have had the privilege to be involved with Miraa House for the past 8 years. During this time I have been overwhelmed by the difference that I have seen in the ladies that attend the life skills centre. Many ladies start off at Miraa House with very little self confidence. Through the dedicated staff and outstanding program, the ladies build up their self confidence. As their self confidence grows, they try new skills and begin to develop relationships. What a gift it is to be able to make such a difference in the life of someone living with a disability. One of the ways we can personally make a difference is to donate to this great cause. Please join me in my fundraising efforts and donate today, all donations welcome.
About Miraa House
"Miraa House is a unique charity that provides a life skills program for women with an intellectual disability. In a caring and supportive environment, the Miraa House students learn life skills to help them become more independent both at home and in the community.
Since Miraa House opened in 2008 it has been their goal to extend the program to include short term accommodation. The time has come - they have a house! Now they need to furnish and equip it to suit the student’s needs. This is where they need our help. "
